Nice overview... very complete and concise without being overtly long and full of "fluff" content. It really sums up the basic rule... you need to treat the room itself (acoustically) and not just rely on the best speakers you can afford. Save some cash for treating the room. I have a less than optimal room setup, but with the right acoustic treatments and some adjustments of the speakers have gained acceptable results. Heavy curtains, an area rug and a few home-made acoustic wall panels went really far in helping things out. I'm lucky to have a "natural" (natural to the room that is) main dispersion with a large 8x8' rubble stone fireplace behind my main seating.

I already have Primacoustics absorption panels (Broadway) that fix into the walls with a plate and screws, and I will also fix bass-traps if necessary. I'd like to know if it's easy to screw into the walls of the vicbooth (whose thickness I don't know) so that it stays solid and supports the weight of the panels. These are fine, but then you need multiple plugs nearby and a place to hide multiple large transformer boxes. Even IKEAs lights allow multiple lights to simply plug into 1 small box with 1 plug.

The clap test is useless in determining the actual sound improvement of a treated room.

Hi. 👋 I want to change my room in the future it's 2,61m wide and about 4,22m long. It's height is 2,48m. I know its a small room but i want to use it alone, so i think it will work. The only 2 questions i got are: Will they also work for a Microphone. Or is this a different technology. I want to use them for home cinema and music production. Also what do you think how many panels will i need, is more better? I will place a big bed in there tho but the walls will be only prepared with your panels. I also have a carpet. Thank you. I know that my chances of someone reading this are very small but who knows...
